The Challenge
I was responsible for enhancing the user interface and experience for coaches, focusing on content organization and archiving. This involved leveraging existing design elements while creating new components to ensure seamless integration with the established design library. The result was an intuitive, visually appealing, and cohesive platform that streamlined coaches' workflow for managing their content efficiently.
The Process
I immersed myself in the research of using content library web applications. My team and I identified three key features: how many layers within folders we could implement. The second feature was sorting the library's contents, and the third was re-organizing the content within each folder. I created a prototype in Figma to show how the reordering feature and interactions would work. The prototype indicated to our engineers the UX experience of grabbing each file and placing it upward or downwards with a "highlight" effect indicating the file had been reordered.
The Results
A clean and easy-to-use user interface for end users to organize their content inside our platform instead of using a third-party application. The UI worked well in a mobile environment without sacrificing any desktop's functionality in a phone browser.
